Weekend Away

Justin and I went away together to Bowen Island for the weekend, and Clay had a wonderful time with Nana and Grandpa. They took him to a carnival, and Clay loved it. Clay seems to barely notice when we're gone, which bodes well for the two week, no kids, trip we have planned with Dave and Heather in June.

When we returned home today, Justin got some exciting news. One of his papers was selected for presentation at the annual meeting for the Society of Biblical Literature in New Orleans in November - a huge honor. And he found out last week that his dissertation proposal earned him a generous fellowship for the remainder of our time here. I am so so proud of him!
