Rivendell

Justin and I enjoyed a refreshing weekend at Rivendell, a retreat center on Bowen Island. The setting was gorgeous, and it was wonderful to have hours of uninterrupted time together. We read some Psalms, Nouwen, wrote in journals, and did some reflecting on the past year and planning for the year to come. We've decided we want to try to get away like this every quarter, if possible. Some couples like regular date nights, but we've decided that regular retreats are better for us. My parents stayed with Clay for the night, and they had fun picking blackberries, chasing the wild rabbits, and walking along the beach.
