Breathing Troubs

We thought Clay was feeling better, but on Thursday night his breathing became more labored, and he was waking up every 15 minutes coughing and sucking air. We brought him to his doctor, and ended up spending four days at Children's Hospital. He seems to be breathing easier now, and he was as relieved as we were to be released from our 10 by 10 foot jail cell. Spending four days stuck in a small space with a BUSY toddler was a challenge, and we are all happy that he is feeling better. Thanks for the support, grandparents! He will probably have to have a scope procedure in the next couple of weeks to find out why he is having this trouble breathing, but I am happy that he will be seen by one of the leading pediatric Ear/Nose/Throat doctors in the country. Those of you who knew Clay as a baby may remember what an extraordinarily loud breastfeeder he was. I think this is all related, and due to his narrow and floppy upper airway.
